Slate and Mahogany door custom carved for interior or exterior use by Seth Rolland Custom Furniture
Slate and Mahogany Door
Black Slate and Sustainably harvested Mahogany
Shown in 36" x 80" size

Slate flows like a river between two pieces of Mahogany.  A natural beech stone mounted as a lever style handle opens it.  This door can be custom made to any size and can be used as an exterior or interior door.  It is built on a sturdy core of cross laminated wood and can be carved on both sides in a similar manner or just on one side as desired.  I can hinge it to swing either as a left opening or right opening door, and can install a lockset that could be covered by a flat circular black stone that would swing out of the way.  If you would like the handle to also lock, I have a selection of beautiful handles that can be used, or I am happy to install one of your choosing.  If this door is replacing an existing one, I can make it the proper size.  If it is for new construction I can make a jamb for an additional cost.  Installation is simple for any finish carpenter.  For exterior use I finish the door with Penofin, an exterior UV blocking oil that leaves the wood looking natural.  The door pictured here that is available for immediate delivery is carved both sides and has a Penofin finish.

Carved one side:  $3500
Carved both sides:  $4500
With added lockset:  +$100
With interior Jamb:  +$450
With Exterior Jamb:  +$950
