This Bench or Table
is made
from a piece of Black Walnut I milled from a downed tree
on my wife’s uncle’s farm in Southwestern Iowa. The
stones are from central Washington and are used to
stabilize and support the cantilevers of the bench.
While, depending on your weight you can sit part way out
on the cantilevers, it is not recommended that you sit
at the very end.
To move the bench,
the top can be lifted and wiggled out of the stones, and
then reposition the stones in the new location and
reinsert the top. The stones are each marked inside to
easily identify their location.
A custom coffee
table, side table or bench of similar or different proportions
can be commissioned in this style. Please contact
