Thuja spiralis

Wall hung sculpture made from salvaged cedar branches.  The main elements are peeled, while the discs in between still have bark.

Part of my recent show TREEisms, this is one of a group of pieces focusing on the strong, beautiful joints trees effortlessly produce in endless variety. Drawing on my skills grafting and training fruit trees, I join multiple parts from the same tree into a curious whole, both treeish and not.

Wall mounted with two small screws included.
