The Parabola Side Table is created from two main walnut elements that are carefully cut from several directions, then steam bent and expanded to their final shape. After they dry, they hold their new forms and are stiffened with a continuous piece of bent laminated ash. Being a glass end table, you can appreciate the geometry of the top view, photographed here without glass. The Parabola Side Table design is available in a variety of solid woods and sizes, and the glass top can be made in an array of shapes and edge treatments. I have made other versions in different proportions, including the Parabola Hall Table, a console the Parabola Display Table and the Parabola Buffet Table.
